This comes through planning, preparation, and experience. Make the day go by faster: Downtime is a teacher’s worst enemy. Many teachers use the term “free time”. This is simple code for I did not take the time to plan enough. Teachers should prepare and plan enough material to last the entire class period or school day.
Students are shown a line plot that measures distance taken by counting giant steps. They are asked to use the data from this line plot survey to answer several questions. Using a backward planning approach to enhance teaching and learning is a renewed approach that challenges the traditional methods of curriculum planning.
In traditional lesson planning, teachers begin with looking at what needs to be taught. They plan lessons, choose activities and teach the material and then give the assessment.
A few steps to walk you through the process. Planning usually takes a lot of time and work from your side. But it can be intimidating to begin from scratch. So to help you get a better hold on things, we have listed a few techniques and methods teachers usually use to create a successful course plan.
